Makaton Taster Session

Are you interested in learning Makaton? Not sure where to start?

A Makaton Taster Session is a brief introduction to what Makaton is, learn some core signs and some signs relevant to you or your organisation. 

 

This is held at your setting or where is convenient to you.  A taster session typically lasts between 1.5-2 hours.

Makaton core levels training

Makaton Core Levels are formal training courses, split into four levels.  Over the four levels you will learn the entire Makaton Core Vocabulary of 450 signs and symbols.  These courses provide an important overview of what Makaton is, it's evidence base, and supports you to think about how you will use it personally in your role or setting.

 

Each level is one day of training.  Training typically runs from 09.30 - 4pm.    Levels can be split into two sessions (e.g. two Twilight sessions of 3 hours).

I run all training face-to-face and am very keen to support people from my local area to train.

Makaton Training delivery options

​

I offer training both in-house at your setting, which is a much more cost effective option if you have a number of people to train, or I am running public courses.

​

Public courses are being held in Windsor during the week or in Maidenhead at the weekends.  I have a number of dates coming up, and you can view these via my Bookwhen account, linked below in the 'Makaton Training Booking' section.
